Military 5k & 10k
Saturday 28 March 2009 (to be confirmed)

Team Hornsey enjoyed the Military 5k & 10k in Redhill on 27 October 2008. Eight runners, including TV actor Doug Rao (DS Stuart Turner in The Bill) crossed the finish line. They have raised £2,638 so far with more to come. Thank you!

The Military 5k & 10k is held on private land near Redhill, Surrey. It is organised by British Military Fitness. The race is off-road with water 'hazards', muddy sections, trees and hills. It starts in a screen of smoke and flashbangs, to give it an extra military feel. Races are electronically timed. Some people take them seriously, but many are there for fun and just aim to complete the course. You do not have to be crazy to join in. This is NOT 'Tough Guy'!

The next event in Redhill is on Saturday 28 March 2009 (date to be confirmed). Entry is free if you join Team Hornsey! All we ask is that you raise £300 for our charity.

On 25 March, 19 Team Hornsey runners crossed the finish line smiling, even after wading through waist-deep mud. They raised an incredible £19,374 for our charity. We thank everyone for their efforts and all sponsors for being so generous.
